Mobile Device Services

All services include security support, including monitoring of networks and systems for malicious activity or policy violations, incident response, threat and vulnerability management, and data privacy services.

Services include, but are not limited to:

Providing and supporting a cell phone with access to a cellular radio system so it can be used over a wide area, without a physical connection to a network that requires only a voice plan, which allows users to place and receive phone calls and text messages.

ITS provides a selection of cellular options and recommends one device and one plan per employee. Standard support for each device includes security, encryption, hardware repair and replacement, remote access, and assistance from the ITS Service Desk.

Services include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing and supporting a mobile phone that performs many of the functions of a computer, typically having a touchscreen interface, internet access, and an operating system capable of running downloaded applications, which requires both a voice and data plan.
  • Providing and supporting a tablet with built-in wireless internet or local area network connectivity and a variety of software applications, including business applications and web browsers.
  • Mobile Device Management (MDM), which includes securing, monitoring and managing the operations of mobile devices, from initial device provisioning through the device retirement process.
