The New York State Office of Information Technology Services (ITS) will hold a virtual public hearing examining the use of biometric identifying technology in schools. The meeting will be held online at 5:30 p.m. via Webex.

During the hearing, ITS staff will provide a brief overview of the topic, and members of the public are invited to testify for up to three minutes. In order to testify, you are required to preregister and submit your written testimony by Oct. 17 at the following link: https://on.ny.gov/3ecMg5e

ITS also reminds the public of the many ways to participate in this hearing:

All testimony will be included in the final ITS report.
